The University of San Luis Obispo School of Law provides a high quality legal education through a part-time weekend program, leading to the award of a Juris Doctor degree and eligibility to sit for the California State Bar Examination. Founded to provide an opportunity for men and women of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences to enter the legal profession, the college seeks to prepare our students to think critically, communicate effectively, act ethically, value diversity, and be leaders in both the legal profession and society. The University of San Luis Obispo School of Law is a small school, established to meet the needs of residents in San Luis Obispo County . Classes are large enough to promote vigorous discussion, but small enough to interface and know professors and other students. The faculty is outstanding, made up of previous graduates of the school, who know what it's like to study law part-time and who are familiar with the teaching techniques of the school's founder, Judge Porter.
